Dosage and Administration

Uspokoin Express tablets are administered orally to animals, forcefully applied to the back of the tongue 1 hour before or 2-4 hours after feeding. At a daily dose of 6-12 mg of trazodone succinate per 1 kg of body weight.

The dosage is individualized based on the animal’s species and weight, type of nervous activity, and degree of agitation.

Single doses of Express Uspokoin tablets for cats:

Up to 2 kg – ½ tablet; 2-4 kg – 1 tablet; 4-6 kg – 1 ½ tablets; 6-8 kg – 2 tablets.

For situational treatment of fear during transportation, attending loud events, visiting veterinary clinics, and also separation anxiety, the drug is administered once 1-2 hours before the expected event.

Mode of action

When taken orally, trazodone succinate breaks down into two active components: trazodone and succinate (succinic acid anion).
